3. Name of the register

A direct marketing register in accordance with section 19 of the Finnish Personal Data Act.


4. The purpose for processing the personal data

    The personal data is used for direct advertising, distance selling or other direct marketing of Iittala Group Ltd and the companies belonging at the time to the Iittala group of companies and of Iittala Group’s co-operation partners. The personal data can also be used to market research and opinion polls and to other addressed deliveries to be equated with these.

5. Content of the register
    Name, title or profession, age or birth year, gender, language, address and other contact information, the wished forms of communication, direct marketing permissions and prohibitions, one other identifier related to the marketing and concerning the data subject and information of the amendments of the data.

    In respect of the contact persons of companies additionally the information concerning the assignments or position of the data subject in business or in a public job.
6. Regular sources of information
    Personal data is collected from different competitions, lotteries etc. in connection with the entry or when registering to the services of Iittala Group or otherwise directly from the data subject.

    Personal data can be collected and updated also from the registers of Iittala Group and the companies belonging at the time to the Iittala group of companies, from the population register system, from the registers held by the Finnish Direct Marketing Association or from other similar registers and public sources of information.

7. Disclosure of data
    Iittala Group may disclose the data within the limits of the applicable legislation. Data may be disclosed from the register for the marketing purposes of the co-operation partners chosen by Iittala Group, unless the data subject prohibits such disclosure of the data.

    Iittala Group may in addition disclose and transfer data to such companies operating outside EU / EEA with which Iittala Group has agreed in writing upon the complying with the level of the Finnish data protection in a way required by the legislation.
8. The principles of securing the data register
    Only appointed personnel of Iittala Group and companies operating by Iittala Group’s assignment or on behalf of Iittala Group shall have access to the customer database applications with the personal right of use granted by the controller. The system is protected with a fire-wall which protects it from contacts outside Iittala Group.

    The access to manually processed documents including customer data is prevented from outsiders.

9. Right of access and right of prohibition
    The member has the right of access to the data concerning the member saved to the register. The request for right of access shall be made in writing by contacting the person in charge of the register. The request for the right of access must be signed. The request for right of access can also be presented in the main office of the controller at the address 135, 00560 Helsinki.
    The member has the right to prohibit the controller to process personal data for purposes of direct advertising, distance selling, other direct marketing, market research and opinion polls by contacting the controller.
